    Leaving the Lights On

    - August 16, 2018

Facility Lighting LED SolutionsHave you ever stopped to take a close look at your home electrical bill just to see the hefty costs mounting resulting from leaving the lights on? Now, can you imagine the costs that your warehouse or distribution center incurs having to keep those lights on day-in and day-out, some even 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Industrial LED lighting has significantly grown over the years and is expected to continue its significant growth path through 2022 as the most green-sustainable lighting solution on the market.

With no ballasts or lamps to change, LED technology replaces outdated metal halide, fluorescent, and HID lighting; permanently reducing the energy usage. Industrial LED lighting exhibits a longer life span with heightened durability, high energy efficiency, and environmentally friendly in comparison. Using 90% less energy and typically lasting more than 20 times as long as a traditional bulb, LED’s consume less power, saving energy and costs, putting money back in to your pocket.

Proper lighting in warehouse distribution centers is a key component to the functionality in the daily operations. LED’s cleaner white light helps to improve safety conditions. Containing zero mercury, LED’s make for a much safer alternative in the workplace. Furthermore, LED bulbs produce a more proper illumination aiding to alleviate fatigue among employees during their shift.

In addition to the safety benefits of LED’s, maintenance costs are significantly reduced as changing bulbs becomes more infrequent. Moreover, the cost to maintain operations is reduced because of the energy saving features. Cost analyses in upgrading your warehouse to LED industrial lights have proven benefits, providing tax incentives and government rebates. With all that LED’s have to offer and everything that your warehouse has to gain, leaving the lights on should be the least of your worries.
