How Does Your Warehouse Stack Up

    - August 25, 2016

High Bay Rack-1Organizing your space—how do you accomplish this? Selecting the right type of storage solution is the backbone to any warehouse or distribution facility. It involves a footprint analysis of the space to design the best possible solution to accommodate your warehouse needs. Decisions on storage design are critical to whether you maximize the use of your warehouse space, ultimately driving productivity.

When making these decisions, here are a few options to consider:

Selective Pallet Rack: Most commonly used, it provides direct access to every load

Carton Flow, Drive-In and Drive-Thru Rack: Some of the highest density storage solutions, providing more pallet storage over selective pallet rack

Cantilever Rack: Typically used to store bulky items

Push Back & Pallet Flow: High density storage options for pallets

Shelving: Choose between general duty steel, rivet (boltless) shelving, wide span, or adjustable

Mobile Shelving: Compact storage systems that utilizes standard shelving and makes them mobile

Vertical Storage Modules (VLM’s): Offers a high-tech system for storage organization

Regardless of the size of your warehouse, the right storage solution will organize your facility to make best use of its potential.
